David Birney (Born In 1939) – Bridget Loves Bernie

David Birney was a talented athlete in high school while also making it into the National Honor Society. He served in the United States Army and winning the All Army Entertainment contest sparked an interest in acting. He started as a theatre actor and later launched a TV career.

You might remember him for his performances in “Bridget Loves Bernie,” “St. Elsewhere,” and “Serpico.” Birney stopped acting after his appearance in “Without a Trace” in 2007. Outside of acting, he’s part of the Foundation for Bio-Medical Research’s board and a co-chair in the American Diabetes Association.
