Benjamin Frankin Was Never Elected President
This is probably not the best example of the Mandela effect because it also suits the category of “common general-knowledge misconceptions.” History buffs probably already know this, but Benjamin Franklin was never President of the United States (even though his face shows up on the $100 note).
Nonetheless, Franklin is one of America’s greatest historical figures. He was a renowned polymath, statesman, and philosopher who’s considered to be among the Founding Fathers and who signed the United States Declaration of Independence.
