Smokey Bear’s Double Mandela Effect
Smokey Bear is Uncle Sam’s equivalent to the U.S. Forest Service, and he’s at the core of not one but two classic examples of the Mandela effect. The first is subtle, as some people mistakenly remember Smokey Bear as Smokey THE Bear. That was never the case.
The other one is far more mysterious, as some commentators swear Smokey Bear once wore red suspenders, even though there is no evidence supporting that claim. Since its first appearance in 1944, Smokey has always been in jeans.
