Surprisingly, two of the most prominent U.K. actors are related. Hugh Grant and Thomas Brodie-Sangster first met when they both starred in the 2003 romantic comedy “Love Actually.” When filming the movie, the then-teenage actor revealed their relationship, stating that his great-grandmother and Grant’s grandmother are sisters, making them second cousins once removed.
Their lineage dates back to “The Maze Runner” actor’s maternal great-grandmother, Barbara May Randolph, who was the sister of Grant’s maternal grandmother, Margaret Isabel Randolph. Luckily, they all came from a talented family of superstars, and Brodie-Sangster is following in his older cousin’s footsteps in making it in Hollywood.
