The connection between comedian Larry David and New Hampshire Senator Bernie Sanders began in 2016 after he hosted the senator on “Saturday Night Live.” Their friendship grew stronger over time, and Sanders appeared on the show several times during election cycles.
However, in 2017, that’s when things changed when the two learned that they are cousins through an episode of PBS’ “Finding Your Roots.” By the look of things, both were delighted to find out that they actually share a genetic bond. In 2020, during the election cycle interview on the show, David couldn’t keep calm, and even joked about calling him “cousin Bernie.”
