Before we were swiping left or right on random strangers online, there was “Next” on MTV. It was a crazy dating show during the early ’00s where contestants would have the opportunity to date five single “daters” one at a time.
The star would shout “next” if they want their current date replaced by another. Yes, it may be a ridiculous format, so we’re glad to hear that this was a fully scripted show and that some of the qualities and fun facts of the people joining were exaggerated.
