A Recipe for Disaster
We watched many disastrous cakes in the amateur baking competition “Nailed It,” where wannabe bakers show off their “baking skills” by trying to recreate a complicated dessert. With the instructions provided, some did it relatively successfully and baked something edible. However, others had to feed judges raw batter, Rice Krispies, or overdone desserts.
Bakers are pre-destined to fail in the competition. According to Paul Scheer, they didn’t have personal timers or watches while baking in the show, so they had to time their cakes in the oven mentally.
