The world can never forget July 16, 1969, when Apollo II took off from Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins were all aboard that craft.

Together they made history as the first humans to land on the moon. Everyone who watched their initial takeoff remembers the trail of gas they left in their wake. Quite similar to the long trail an airplane left as it flew above the roller coaster in this photo.
